
The PR Department of the Regional History Museum – Sliven is responsible for building and maintaining the institution’s positive public image. Its mission is to present the museum’s activities to the general public, the media, and partners and to engage diverse audiences with the cultural and educational content offered by the museum. The department’s core activities include media relations (preparation and dissemination of press releases, organization of media events); marketing and advertising (promotion of exhibitions, events, and initiatives); management of the museum’s social media and online presence (maintaining social media profiles and creating digital content such as articles, videos, and news); internal communication (coordination among the museum’s departments and ensuring effective information flow within the organization); and organization of public events (exhibition openings, lectures, creative workshops, cultural programs, and others). Additional responsibilities include working with partners and communities (building long-term relationships with cultural, educational, and public institutions) and developing informational materials (brochures, catalogues, posters, information panels and other communication resources). Through its activities, the department contributes to increasing the museum’s visibility, expanding its audience, and strengthening its role as an important cultural and educational center. By applying contemporary marketing approaches, delivering educational programs for different age and social groups and relying on the responsiveness and professionalism of its guides, the department supports the attraction of new audiences. The Public Relations Department employs one specialist, one museum educator, and twelve tour guides.
