Museum of popular customs in Sliven
in 19thC and the beginning of 20thC /page 3/

The yard has a latch, through which it is connected with the Arnautkina house. An exhibition was arranged there in 1970. It shows the European influence on the way of life of the people in Sliven at the beginning of 20thC.

With its strict architecture and space composition, its rich wood carving on the verandahs, its exquisitely lathe-turned lattice banisters, its octagonal columns, its wood carved ceilings, practical built-in cupboards, its hem-stitched niches for cutlery, its richly decorated icon stand, the house is a real proof of independence and imposing appearance and it is one of the masterpieces of the Bulgarian architecture of the Revival period.

The large cobbled yard, the flower garden and the shed with different agricultural tools contribute to the overall architecture of the ethnographic complex - a real proof of the unique building genius of Bulgarian people, their inexhaustible spirit and great cultural progress.
